Radhakrishna misses ton

HYDERABAD: M. Radhakrishna (92) helped SA Amberpet score a respectable 203 against Continental on the first day of the A-Division (two-day) league cricket championship match here.

The scores: A-Division (two-day) league: Oxford Blues vs Zinda. 1st day's play washed out.

Crown 275 (Padeep 74, Anand Babu 34, B. Sudhir 39, Rahul Rohan three for 31, M. Mohit four for 100) vs Visaka 27 for one.

SA Amberpet 203 (M. Radhakrishna 92, Sai Venkatesh three for 67, Abhisheik Ashok three for 46) vs Continental 34 for one.

New Blues 294 (Ashrith 104, Sandeep Goud 45, Shahdaab Tumbi 30,Maliraj 40, Aleem three for 50) vs Hyd Titans five for one.

Big win for Meridian

Meridian School recorded a 10-wicket win over Delhi Public School in the Glendale Trophy inter-schools cricket tournament (under-14) organised by Page 3 Entertainments here.

The scores: Glendale Academy International vs Sreenidhi International. Match abandoned due to wet pitch.

Jubilee Public School 63 (Parvez three for five) lost to Gowtham Model School 69 for three.

Delhi Public School, Sec'bad, 69 (Alnoor four for nine) lost to Meridian School 80 for no loss.

St. Ann's wins title

St. Ann's College (Mehdipatnam) won the Osmania University inter-college chess championship for women.

Final placings: 1. St. Ann's College, Mehdipatnam, 7 pts, 2. Radhey Krishna College 6 pts, 3. CBIT 5.5 pts, 4. Kasturba Gandhi College, 5. St. Pious College .

TCS wins trophy

TCS won the women's throwball event defeating Cognizant 15-11, 15-13 in the final of the Roots School Corporate tournament.

Minu Madhuri of TCS was named ‘player of the tournament'.

Microsoft won the volleyball event beating Cognizant.

Vincent of Microsoft was named ‘best spiker' and Kiran of ADP the ‘player of the tournament'.
