LOOKING AHEAD:Currently there are 100 million people aged above 60 in the country.

Bangalore: Old age is perceived to be associated with infirmity, diseases, disability and a poor quality of life. Is it an absolute fact or are there factors that can change it for better?

Will the popular lifestyle changes which many talk about for remaining young and active really help the aged and the ageing? To discuss all these issues, the Bangalore International Centre (BIC) in collaboration with Indian Psychiatric Society (Karnataka State Branch) and The Hindu has arranged a talk, “Healthy Ageing — No More an Oxymoron”, by Srikala Bharath, Professor of Psychiatry, NIMHANS. For information and registration, contact BIC on 080-25359680, 98865-99675.
