NEW DELHI: Sushma Singh shot 577 and finished 35th in the women's 25-metre sport pistol event in the 50th World shooting championship in Munich on Monday. Sushma, who is the sister of Jaspal Rana, started well with a 291 in the precision series but could not sustain her good work in the rapidfire session where she could garner only 286 points. Annu Raj Singh (573) and Anisa Sayyed (572) were placed 57th and 60th in a field of 113. The Indian team finished 16th with 1722 points from among 30 countries. The Indian shooters were unable to make an impact in the 25-metre centre fire pistol event on Sunday. Omkar Singh shot 578 and was 18th in a field of 102. With Harpreet Singh (577) and Vijay Kumar (575) matching the work of Omkar, the Indian team was placed seventh among 29 countries with a total of 1730, five points behind bronze medalist Korea.
