A ‘walk for water' will be heldon the beach road at 7 a.m. on Monday The CGWB, AP State Unit Office, will hold a meet on the occasion VISAKHAPATNAM: The Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), Visakhapatnam will observe World Water Day in collaboration with The Hindu by launching a campaign on Monday to create awareness about the importance of water and how to conserve it by protecting and using it judiciously. The theme of the campaign will be ‘Save water for next generation.' The campaign will also continue on Tuesday. Leaflet A leaflet is designed exclusively for the event to propagate the importance of water. It will be distributed among the residential localities. A ‘walk for water' will be conducted on Monday on the beach road at 7 a.m. The CGWB, AP State Unit Office, will also hold a meet of eminent scientists, academicians, professionals and students on the occasion at Platinum Jubilee Guest House at 10.30 a.m. on Monday. Mayor to flag off Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao will flag off the walk. District Collector J. Syamal Rao, will be the chief guest. Project Director of DWMA Satya Sai Srinivas will be the guest of honour and Regional Director of CGWB A. Damodara Rao will preside over the meeting.
