KOLKATA: A 23-member Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team left for Mumbai to play the opening match of the DLF Indian Premier League (IPL) Season 3 at the D.Y. Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, on March 12.

The team, which left on Monday afternoon, will play two practice matches on Tuesday and Wednesday before finalising its playing XI, according to team sources.

Brad Hodge is confirmed as one of the two openers and the second opener's slot could go to any of the three, Manoj Tiwary, Chirag Pathak and G. Vignesh, who was successful during the final Indian Cricket League season. — Special Correspondent
