Night beat stopped

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The police, it seems, have stopped night beat on Primrose Road since February 1, 2009.

The law firm, which is one of the night beat points of Ulsoor police station, had a night beat register. It is signed by nigh beat policemen on their rounds. According to the register, the last visit of the policemen was on February 1, 2009. “The night beat policemen do not visit the locality regularly. Since February they have not visited our premises. Following the incident, they (police) tried to take the register away but we prevented it,” said an employee of the firm.
