IAF plane crash: bodies brought to Assam

Guwahati: The bodies of the 13 defence personnel, who died in Tuesday’s accident of the Indian Air Force transport aircraft AN-32 in Arunachal Pradesh, were brought to the Rowriah air base in upper Assam’s Jorhat district on Thursday.

“A Mi-17 with mortal remains of the aircrew has arrived at Jorhat. The last rites will be conducted with full military honours,” said IAF spokesman Wing Commander Ranjib Sahoo.
