Conditional bail for DMDK activists

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has granted conditional bail for five Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam activists, arrested in connection with a clash with DMK cadres in Kancheepuram district. Justice M. Venugopal, granting bail to Murugan, Gunasekaran, Anbarasu, Manikandan and Suresh of Damal village, directed them to execute a personal bond for Rs.5,000 each and furnish two sureties for a like sum each. They shall stay at Tiruchi and report to the Cantonment Police there daily.
The B.C. Chathiram police arrested the five persons on December 13, after they were involved in a clash with the DMK cadres preparing to leave for their youth conference at Tirunelveli.
