Students told to develop scientific temper

HYDERABAD: Science is a way of thinking and one of its great attributes is that it inculcates a spirit of questioning, observed noted scientist and former Director, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology(CCMB), P.M. Bhargava, here on Monday.

Speaking at the two-day National Science Fair organised by the Science Fair Academy here, he said the progress of mankind was largely due to science and technology and countries which gave due attention to science prospered while the ones which neglected remained poor. Science cut across religion, geographical boundaries and all other barriers. “It brings people together, and not divide them,” he said.

B. Ramesh Babu, Chairman, Medwin Institute of Medical Sciences, urged the students to take interest in science. “It will not only help you but also the mankind.”
