Pharmacists seek a structured industry

NEW DELHI: As part of National Pharmacy Week, pharmacists are highlighting their role in the medical system and have appealed for a more structured industry.

Federation of Indian Pharmacists Organisation (Delhi) president R. P. Sharma said: “A separate directorate of pharmacy is essential for upgrading the health services in India. China has better drug testing facilities compared with India which is among the leading exporter of medicines. Also, more promotional avenues should be created for pharmacists.”
