Shandilya wins billiards title

HYDERABAD: Ashok Shandilya of Central Railway won the individual billiards title in the 40th all-India Railway billiards and snooker championship with a 607-231 win over Rafat Habib of Southern Railway in the final at the RRC Stadium here on Tuesday.

Shandilya, an Asian Games medallist, clinched the issue with ease notching up a highest break of 306 today. Kamal Chawla of Western Railway finished third defeating Siddarth Parikh (Central Railway) 530-298.
