MADURAI: Women Front has organised an ‘Interaction meeting with the Land Department’ to sensitise Dalit and landless poor women on Government Land Reforms at Gandhi Museum here on Saturday. A. Rajini, central committee member, Women Front said that the they had organised the meeting aiming at providing space to women to air their land-related grievances from various taluks of Madurai district including Vadipatti, Usilampatti and Tiruparankundram. Ms. Rajini said that though the Government authorities had claimed that lands were distributed to the poor in five phases, in reality, many landless Dalit women were not benefited from the scheme. To enlighten women on various aspects such as land acquisition and dispersal, the Women Front has organised the meeting.
