Storm lies 400 km from Port Blair

HYDERABAD: A severe cyclonic storm that formed over the Bay of Bengal lay about 400 km north-west of Port Blair on Tuesday evening.

It was likely to intensify further and move towards the coast. Weathermen in the State Met Office here said there was a possibility of the system targeting any portion between North Coastal Andhra and Bangladesh.

A clear shape of the system together with its tendencies would be available by Wednesday.
