Agartala: The toll in Thursday’s shooting by a jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Tripura rose to four with an official succumbing to injuries on Saturday, police said.
CRPF Habilder S.S. Ram (41), who was one of the three shot at by a colleague at Barabari in Dhalai district, died at Agartala Medical College early on Saturday.
The other two, Havilder P.K. Sharma (38) and Constable B.K. Sil Sharma (39) died on the spot after rifleman Bisram Singh (37) sprayed bullets on his colleagues after a quarrel over allocation of duties at the insurgency-prone Baraibari, under the Gandacherra police station. Singh then committed suicide by shooting himself. — PTI
