Canara PUC triumphs

MANGALORE: Canara Pre-University College (Mangalore) rode on the brilliance of an all-round performance by Prithviraj (five for 29 and 24 not out) to lift the UltraTech Cup with a five-wicket win over favourite St. Aloysius PUC (Mangalore) in the PUC-level cricket tournament here on Thursday.

The sores (final): St. Aloysius 193 for nine in 45 overs (Daniel Sequeira 84, Abhijit Prasad 38, Prithviraj five for 29) lost to Canara 194 for five in 43.4 overs (Shamith 76, Sachin Bhat 37).
