AWWA Awards conferred

NEW DELHI: The Army Wives’ Welfare Association (AWWA) has conferred the prestigious AWWA Awards for Excellence on six women.

The winners are Deepa Singh for her work in empowering women, Dipanwita Das for her work with differently-abled children, Sarita Chopra for working with soldiers and their families, Purnima Bakshi for her candle-making project, Traveen Dhillon for her efforts in pre-school education and Mini Lepcha for handicrafts.
