CITU demand

VIZIANAGARAM: CITU has demanded representation for all trade unions in the newly established State Labour Welfare Board for building and other construction workers rather than making it a rehabilitation centre for ruling party members.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, CITU general secretary M. Srinivasa said that the State Government set up the board following its demand for implementation of the Building and Other Construction Workers Act, 1996. He demanded constitution of similar welfare boards in districts.
