Coimbatore: One person was killed and 50 persons, mostly women, were injured when a bus in which they were travelling collided with a Government bus at a four-road junction near Karamadai on Tuesday evening. TourAccording to the police, 50 women employees from a private textile mill in Thekkampatti area went on a tour to the Bannariamman Temple in Sathyamangalam. They were returning in the afternoon when the accident took place. Run overThe driver of the bus belonging to the mill, Chenniappan (40), was run over by the bus. One of the injured mill workers lost her leg and hand in the accident. The police rushed the injured to the nearby private and Government hospitals. The police said that 33 of the mill workers were among the injured while the rest were those in the Government bus.
