KURNOOL: Two persons died in rain-related incidents in the district on Monday. A person identified as Murtuza was washed away near Parumanchala. In another incident, a person identified as Bazari died after he was struck by lightening at Polakal in C. Belagal mandal. Meanwhile, the traffic on the National Highway-18 came to a standstill as two rivulets overflowed. Kundu river at Orvakal and Dovachaintalavagu at Nannur overflowed the National Highway. Traffic between Kurnool and Nandyal was held up for several hours. -Special Correspondent
