BJP demands polls to Cantt. Board

NEW DELHI: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and MLA Karan Singh Tanwar will stage a dharna at Jantar Mantar here this Tuesday to demand immediate holding of elections to the Delhi Cantonment Board.

In a statement, Mr. Tanwar said the Government had been postponing elections to the Board on some pretext or the other for the past four years. He said the people of the area were suffering because of increasing corruption and scams and the absence of an elected representative in the Board.
