Iqbal College wins

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Iqbal College (Peringamala) won the men’s title in Kerala University inter-collegiate baseball championship.

In the final, Iqbal College scored an easy 14-1 win over Government Arts College (Thiruvananthapuram). St. Xavier’s College (Thumba) overcame LNCPE (Kariyavattom) 9-5 to finish third.

LNCPE took the title in women’s section after trouncing MMNSS College (Kottiyam) 10-2 in the final. SN College Varkala edged out Iqbal College (Peringamala) 5-4 to take the third place. — Principal Correspondent
