  1. Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited / Visakhapatnam Steel Plant hereby invites tenders, for the supply of Ferro Silicon with the following technical specification :

  2. Ferro Silicon as per the following specification :

    Grade FeSi Al-15 as per IS 1110 - 1990 of the specification.
    i. Composition :
    Si :70-75%, Al :1.5% max,C:0.15% max, P : 0.05% max, S: 0.05% max
    ii. Size : 50 - 100 MM
    iii. Size Tolerance : -50mm allowed 5%, +100 mm allowed 3% and +125mm should be nil and -10 mm shall not exceed 1% out of 5%.
    iv. Packing : Material is to be packed in 50 Kg Gunny/HDPE bags or I MT HDPE bags.

  3. Quantity : 5660 Tons.

  4. Delivery : 500 T/month starting from June '99.

  5. Tender documents can be obtained on payment of Rs.3,000/- by way of crossed demand draft/bank pay order in favour of RINL payable at Visakhapatnam, from DCMM (Purchase Admn.), Purchase Department, Block - A, 3rd Floor, Adminstrative Building, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam - 530 031. The last date for the sale of tender documents is 27-03-99.

  6. Tender documents shall be issued only to :
    a. Established Producers of the Material (OR)
    b. Established Suppliers of Materials duly backed by a Letter of Authority of the concerned producers, specifically authorising the said Supplier and no one else to make an offer in response to this invitation to Tender. Tenders will be accepted upto 10.00 Hours (IST), on 07-04-99. Techno Commercial Bids of the tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the authorised representatives of the tenderers, who may choose to be present.

    Notwithstanding, anything specified in this Tender Documents, RINL, in its sole discretion, unconditionally and without having to assign any reason, reserves to itself the rights.
    a. To accept or reject the lowest tender or any other tender or all the tenders.
    b. To apportion the total quantity amongst different tenderers.
