Invitation for Bids (IFB)
IFB No.FA/54/WB/99 Date: 17th November 1999
- The Government of India (GOI) has received a credit from the
International Development Association (IDA) to finance the India
Rubber Project (CR 2409 IN). It is intended that part of the
proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under
the contracts for which this invitation for Bids is issued.
- The Rubber Board, now invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the supply and installation of Computers and
Networking Systems, Cabling Systems and UPS Systems. Evaluation
will be done separately for each package.
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and
inspect the bidding documents at the office of the Director
Finance, Rubber Board, Kottayam - 686 002, Kerala State, India.
- A complete set of Bidding documents may be purchased by an
interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written
application, to the above addressee and upon payment of
non-refundable fee of Rs.2000/- or US$ 50 by a Demand Draft in
favour of Director (Finance), Rubber Board, payable at Kottayam.
The bidders who purchase the Bidding document in their names only
are eligible for submission of bid.
- The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the
General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the World
Bank Standard Bidding Documents, Procurement of goods.
- Bids must be delivered to the above addressee (para 3) on or
before 15.00 Hrs IST on 18th January 2000 and must be accompanied
by a Bid Security as mentioned in ITB Clause 15 thereof.
- Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders'
representatives who choose to attend at 10.00 Hrs IST on 19th
January 2000 at Rubber Board, Kottayam - 686 002, Kerala, India.
- A complete set of Bidding Document may be obtained from the
office of the Director (Finance), Rubber Board, Kottayam -
686002, Kerala, India during office hours on or before 17th
January 2000 15.00 Hrs on all working days either in person or by
post.

- Bidders who desire to obtain the Bidding Document in person
can do so by submitting an application and upon payment of the
price of the Bidding Document either in Cash or by Demand Draft
drawn in favour of the Director Finance, Rubber Board payable at
Kottayam on office hours.
