National Insitute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) is an autonomous institution under the Department of Ocean Development, Government of India, engaged in the development and demonstration of technology in the area of ocean sciences.

NIOT has a program to design, build and operate a 1 MW floating Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) plant off Kulasekarapatnam in Tamilnadu. The project is expected to go on stream in October 2000. For this project NIOT invites offers from manufacturers for the design, manufacture and supply and commissioning of the following:

Quotations in the completed form should reach NIOT office by mail on or before the due date given against the respective item.

Unless otherwise stated all items are to be certified by Indian Registrar of Shipping (IRS).

Pre-bid meeting will be held for the DCS System & Instrumentation (refer our previous advertisement dt. 23rd December'99) at our office on 12th January 2000, 10 a.m. IST.

Pre-qualification:

  • 1.The bidder should have executed similar works for a value not less than 85% of the estimated cost in single order during the last five years.

  • 2.The bidder should have average annual turnover of not less than the estimated cost for the last three years.

  • 3. The bidder should have supplied, installed, tested and commissioned, similar equipment mentioned in this enquiry specification and should have successful operation for minimum of two years.
