The Mahindra Institute of Software Engineering & Management (MISEM) has been set-up by Mahindra Information Technology Services Ltd. (MITS), a part of the renowned Mahindra Group to fulfill the requirements of trained manpower for IT Industry.

MISEM is being closely nurtured by Mahindra British Telecom Ltd. (MBT), a leading Telecom Software Company of the Mahindra Group. This close association enables MISEM to have a high degree of involvement in live projects being executed by MBT for its clients worldwide.

Courseware and faculty training are pursued in close association with the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), a pioneer in establishing software engineering practices.

Faculty at MISEM is a multidimensional mix of accomplished academicians and senior professionals from the IT industry with hands-on software development experience. In fact, this close industry interface has been the hallmark of IT training at MISEM. Chat facility with MBT experts is one of the many innovations on the anvil.

MISEM's Post Graduate Diploma in Software Engineering (PGDSE) has already carved out a niche for itself as a premium program providing unique environment for mastering the discipline of Software Engineering. This is a one year, rigorous, full time program focussed on an engineering approach to Software Development. Students have a core curriculum, work on multiple projects and choose the specialization track in line with their career aspirations.

The first batch of 130 professionals, selected from over 2000 applicants across the country, will complete this program by August 2000. They have benefitted immensely from the quality education that is conducive to excellence and achievement, close industry interface leading to hands on experience on live projects and direct interaction with leading experts in various related disciplines.

The campus recruitment process for the first batch has commenced in the third quarter itself. The participation by topmost IT companies like TCS, COSL, MBT, PCS, IMR Global, DSQ, Lucent Technologies, IBM Global, Mascot, KPIT, Imagine Technologies (USA), etc. is a true testimony to the eminence of MISEM.

Post-Graduate Diploma in
Software Engineering (PGDSE)

Admissions will be based on an aptitude test open to all eligible applicants followed by a personal interview for the short-listed candidates. The web site will provide all relevant details.
Eligibility: Graduate in Engineering or Post Graduate in Engineering / Science / Computer Science with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks throughout or Graduate in Computer Science with 65% aggregate marks throughout. Students appearing for their final year examinations are also eligible for provisional admission. Applicant must have passed the qualifying exam not before 1997.

Application Procedure: Application form and detailed prospectus are available on www.mahindrainstitute.com .Print the completed application form and the rules and regulations sheet from the site and courier it to us in an envelope marked MISEM-AICET 2000, along with a non-refundable application fee of Rs.750/- (Rs. Seven Hundred Fifty Only) by a crossed Demand Draft in favour of MISEM (Division of MITS), payable at Pune only. Last Date for receipt of Application form at MISEM along with rules and regulations sheet duly signed is July 1, 2000. You must keep yourself updated on the status of your application by regularly referring to the site/your e-mail id as specified in the application.
