Coromandel Fertilisers Limited, 400 MTPD Urea Plant at Visakhapatnam is available for disposal. It was designed by M/s. Vulcan Cincinnati, USA, based on CPI allied process. The plant was commissioned in 1967, operated continuously and closed in 1997 for economic reasons.
Major equipment of the process consists of 2 Nos. 2500 H.P. multi stage reciprocating compressors, 3 Nos. liquid ammonia quintaplex pumps, 6600 PSIG oper. pressure multilayered urea reactor with zirconium tight and loose liners, primary & secondary decomposers, evaporators, revolving prilling bucket system, primary & secondary absorbers and stripper of CO2 absorption with MEA system, condensers, heat exchangers, all other connected equipment, motors, pumps, turbines, tanks, instruments, valves, piping, structural steel and unused spares in stores. Concrete and few steel structures are excluded.
Full description of material/equipment data and related information can be had along with the tender documents. Plant shall be disposed off on "As-in-where-is" basis. Dismantling shall be in buyer's scope.
Plant can be inspected from 16th August to 15th September 1999 on all working days.
Detailed tender forms with terms and conditions can be had from the office of the Manager - Purchase & Stores from 16th August 1999 on payment of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) (Non refundable) by way of crossed Demand Draft payable at Visakhapatnam, India, drawn in favour of Coromandel Fertilisers Ltd. or on payment of Cash in our cash office on all working days.
Sealed quotations together with earnest Money Deposit (EMD) at 10% of the total quoted value must reach the office of the Vice President - Mfg. & Projects on or before 4.30 p.m. of 25th September 1999. Envelope containing quotation should be superscribed as Quotation for Purchase of Urea Plant Equipment. Offers without requisite EMD will not be considered.
