1. Sealed Bids are invited by RITES on behalf of M/s. Braithwaite 
        & Co. Ltd., Calcutta, India from eligible bidders for supply  and 
        installation  of  1  No. Jolting type  moulding  machine  (Tender 
        No.RITES/RW & IE/03).  Amount of EMD/Bid Guarantee: Rs.4,50,000/- 
        or US $ 10,000/-.  Cost of Bid Document: Rs.5,000/- or US $110.00.
        
        2.  Interested  bidders may purchase the bid  document  from  the 
        Office  of: Deputy General Manager (RW), Rail India  Technical  & 
        Economic  Services Ltd. (RITES), 208, Ashok Bhawan, Nehru  Place, 
        New Delhi - 110 019, India on any working day between 10.00  Hrs. 
        to 16.00 Hrs. w.e.f. 26-10-99 to 9-12-99 on submission of written 
        application  along with the non-refundable Bid Document  cost  in 
        the form of Demand Draft payable to RITES, New Delhi.
        
        3. Bids must be delivered to the above Office on or before  14.00 
        Hrs on 10-12-99 accompanied by EMD/Bid Guarantee.
        
        4. Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidder's representative 
        who  choose  to  attend at 14.30 Hrs. on 10-12-99  at  the  office 
        mentioned  in para 2 above.  In case of un-scheduled  holiday  on 
        the  closing/opening day of tender, the next working day will  be 
        treated as scheduled prescribed day of closing/opening of tender, 
        the time notified to remain the same.
        
        5.  M/s. Braithwaite & Co. Ltd. reserves the right to reject  any 
        or all bids without assigning any reason.
