Karun and Sunil score hundreds

Bangalore: Karun Nair’s unbeaten 166 and Sunil N. Raju’s 102 helped President’s XI gain a 208-run first-innings lead over Dharwad Zone in a KSCA inter-zonal under-19 tournament match that ended in a draw here on Tuesday.

The scores: Dharwad 138 in 48.3 overs and 188 for seven in 52 overs (K. Ramdas 67, Tarun Muthanna four for 44) drew with President’s XI 346 for five decl. in 87.5 overs (Karun Nair 166 n.o., Sunil N. Raju 102, A. Ganesh four for 151).

Raichur 248 in 78 overs and 204 for eight in 45.4 overs (Akshay Mahendrakar 81, Victor Kevin four for 56) drew with Shimoga 207 in 64 overs (Manoj 57, Sunil Kumar 40, K. Naveen four for zero).

Mangalore 133 in 70.4 overs and 48 for four in 27 overs drew with Combined City XI 236 for six in 90 overs (Pradeep 76, Ranjan 44, B.V. Shashank 40, Faroqui Zahoor five for 52).

Bangalore City 68 in 26.2 overs and 221 for nine in 74 overs (R. Karan Rao 75, K.V. Darshan 74, Md. Salauddin five for 85) drew with Mysore 258 in 78.2 overs (Aditya Sagar 64, Nithin Vinayak 59, Md. Imran Khan 43, Magizhendan five for 72). — Principal Correspondent
