Call given for people to participate in large numbers in the second phase of ‘Bhoo Poratam’ starting on August 22
ADILABAD: CPI (M) MLA Julakanti Ranga Reddy (Miryalguda) on Sunday gave a call for people to participate in large numbers in the second phase of ‘Bhoo Poratam’ starting on August 22. He said the participants should participate without fear of facing hardships. Addressing a public meeting here near the R&B guest house, the MLA warned the Government against any untoward incident during the second phase of land struggle. He said the Government would be responsible for any violence during the agitations. Mr. Ranga Reddy demanded the Government to regularise the 7,500 acres of agricultural land and house sites which were under occupation of poor in Adilabad district. He said a proper survey should be done before regularisation of the land in the 48 mandals in which the struggle took place. CPI (M) State committee member Lanka Raghavulu, State executive committee member Sai Baba and district secretary Bandi Dattatri were also present.
