TTD Chairman denies funds misappropriation

TIRUPATI: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthhanams (TTD management has extended the last date for receipt of applications for mass marriages under ‘Kalyanamasthu’ to August 20.

As it is a general practice not to take up any new venture during the month of ‘Ashada’, which ends on Tuesday, as it is considered inauspicious, TTD authorities are expecting applications to pour in after that day. It has been decided to provide free ‘darshan’ at Tirumala to six persons, including the bride, the groom and their parents when they plan a visit after the wedding. Meanwhile, TTD Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy on Monday categorically denied misappropriation of funds in ‘Kalyanamasthu’ as was reported in a section of media.

Proposal cancelled
