GULBARGA: The threat of floods in the Krishna in Gulbarga district has receded following the scaling down of the release of water from the Narayanpur Dam in the Upper Krishna Project in Surpur taluk in the district on Sunday. According to the reports reaching here, the release of water from the Narayanpur Dam has been brought down to 2.25 lakh cusecs on Sunday following the reduction in the inflow into the dam. Krishna rising
However, the threat of the floods had not completely receded since there have been reports of the levels of the Krishna rising in Bijapur district, which would mean that the inflow into the Alamatti Balancing Reservoir would increase in a day or two.
