Chief Minister acted in partisan manner: Kanta

Special Correspondent

GULBARGA: The former Minister and senior Janata Dal (Secular) leader S.K. Kanta on Sunday accused the Chief Minister of acting in a partisan manner to save two Ministers by rejecting the recommendations of the Lokayukta Santosh Hegde for dropping them from the Ministry.

Mr. Kanta, who had filed a complaint with the Lokayukta seeking action against two Ministers, Sharanabasappa Dharshanapur and Hanumanthappa Alkod, for their failure to submit their assets and liabilities within the stipulated period, which resulted in the Lokayukta recommending to the Government to sack them, told presspersons here that the Chief Minister was expected to act judiciously on the recommendations of the Lokayukta.

He said that it was strange that the two Ministers had remained in office even after the Lokayukta recommending to Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy to dimiss them.
