HYDERABAD: Secunderabad STC drubbed Thrissur STC 23-0 in the inaugural match of the South Zone inter-Sports Authority of India hockey tournament for girls at the Begumpet Police Stadium here on Tuesday.
Strikers Soundarya with nine goals and Aswani five led the charge for Secunderabad against a hapless opposition.
At half-time, the winner led 12-0. On resumption, Saroja slammed in six goals while Sandhya scored three to complete the tally.
In another match, Kollam STC recorded an emphatic 7-0 win over Mailaduthurai STC with Indu Rani scoring a brace while Sanduja, Akhila, Jeena, Archana and Chetna scoring one each. — Principal Correspondent
