CHENNAI: As part of the six-month countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Lenovo, the world-wide partner for the Olympic Torch Relay and a key sponsor of the Games has planned a global online philanthropic auction from February 8 next year. It will be a series of back-to-back week-long auctions that will conclude just prior to the Games. A ‘cloud of promise’ — theme notebook PCs, autographed by athlete ambassadors will be put on auction. The proceeds will go to the Lenovo Hope Fund.
