Murthy takes title

BANGALORE: B.V. Srinivasa Murthy (-30) shrugged off mid-match blues to claim the billiards title in the B.S. Sampath memorial handicap tournament here on Sunday. Murthy prevailed over Ajay Bhushan (-30) 4-2.

Murthy won 51-14, 50-41, 50-18, 43-50, 30-53, 50-2.

Meanwhile Aditya Navulkar (+56) bagged the snooker title after defeating Amit Bhushan (+42) 83-19, 45-64, 59-57, 64-48, 29-71, 76-72 in the final.
