BANGALORE: A software engineer was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the the Wipro guesthouse in BTM Layout under Madivala police station limits on Tuesday morning. The police said V. Chandrasekhar (31), who worked with Wipro in Hyderabad, was the son of a retired teacher and a native of Kurnool. He had come here 20 days ago for induction training and was staying at the company guesthouse housed in a rented building. When Chandrasekhar did not come out of his room till 8.30 a.m., the occupants of the other rooms and the guesthouse caretaker, B.S. Rao, tried to wake him up. As there was no response, the police were called in. The police, with the assistance of the guesthouse staff, broke open the door and found him lying dead on the cot, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-East) Soumendu Mukherjee told The Hindu. Chandrasekhar had taken eight bottles of beer to his room on Monday night and consumed six. He turned on the ceiling fan and air-conditioner full blast. He is suspected to have died of heart failure and chill, Mr. Mukherjee said. It also appeared that he had a severely upset stomach. Mr. Mukherjee said: “Though there is nothing suspicious about his death, we are awaiting the autopsy report to confirm the cause of death.” The Madivala police registered a case of unnatural death.
