Sharp fall in rupee

MUMBAI: The rupee turned weak after a sharp appreciation of 38 paise in the last two days and ended at 40.9750/9850 on Wednesday against the U.S. currency on good import coverings.

It closed at 40.7450/7550 on Tuesday.

The Indian currency touched a low of 41.08 but inflows from foreign institutional investors for DLF's public issue trimmed the losses. — PTI
