Youth murdered

MADURAI: A gang allegedly hacked to death a youth near the MGR Stadium here on Sunday night. According to police sources, M. Manikandan (24) of Karpaga Nagar was consuming liquor along with his friend on the Race Course Road when the suspects attacked him with deadly weapons. He died on the spot. The Anna Nagar police are investigating.
