Ashwath emerges sole leader

KARUR: R. Ashwath of Chennai emerged the sole leader with eight points at the end of the ninth round of the second R. Ramasamy Gounder memorial FIDE-rating open chess tournament, conducted by the Karur District Chess Association, here on Tuesday.
