Annamayya Jayanti celebrations held

Devotion and spirituality marked the 599th Annamayya Jayanti celebrations organised by the Annamacharya Bhavana Vahini on Sunday. Young and upcoming artistes rendered Annamacharya sankeertans and treated the audience with spiritual ecstasy. Keerthana, Niharika and Varanasi Sowmya calmed the senses of the audience with their soulful rendition. The highlight of the evening was the rendering of the keertans by Zee SA Re Ga Ma Pa winner Deepthi Madhuri. Her sweet voice mesmerised the gathering.

Seetha Ramaiah, Advisor, Sirpur Paper Mills, who was the chief guest, appreciated the efforts of Annamacharya Bhavana Vahini in carrying out the mission "Eradication of thought pollution through divine music," according to a press release.

IPE seminar held

The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) organised a seminar on `Principles and practices of MoU in public enterprises', where the speakers felt that a sea-change has to be brought about in developing the criteria for MoU, assigning weights and working out the aggregate score.

The seminar suggested that mergers and acquisitions, IPRs, customer satisfaction, innovation, executive education, exports and continuous reduction in the support in the funding by the Central Government should be given higher weightage to capture the performance of the public enterprises.
