Bangalore: For a die-hard fan of the late Kannada film icon Rajkumar, this exhibition will be a nostalgic trip. Organised at Lumbini Gardens at the Hebbal Lake's bund to mark the actor's birth anniversary on Tuesday, it boasts a collection of over 300 pictures of the thespian, and provides insights into his life. The exhibition, organised by BIG 92.7 in association with Chitraloka.com and Reliance Communication, includes one picture from each of his films.
Other pictures
The collection also has several other pictures such as the one with his entire family, and with Bollywood stars such as Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan and shehnai maestro Bismillah Khan. The most coveted picture seems to be the one of Rajkumar at the Kanteerava Studios paying his respects to a shrine, a few metres away from where he is laid to rest. Inaugurating the exhibition, Parvathamma Rajkumar said she was extremely touched by the display of the photos. "I am very grateful to the organisers. By viewing this collection of his pictures it almost seemed as if his presence is felt among us," she added. Ms. Parvathamma also unveiled a bronze statue in honour of the legend. The exhibition will be open to the public till April 29 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays and between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the weekend.
