Neha emerges winner

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Neha Susan Thomas won the girls' under-14 singles title in the second TCTDS open tennis tournament at the LNCPE courts on Tuesday. In the final, Neha breezed past Jerriya 9-1.

G.L. Vivek will meet Pritish Kishore in the boys' under-18 final. Pritish is in line for a double as he also entered the doubles final in the under-18 category.

The results:

Boys: U-18: (semifinals): Singles: G.L. Vivek bt M.R. Rajendran 9-1; Pritish Kishore bt S. Ramnath 9-7.

Doubles: Pritish Kishore/ Ramnath bt G.L. Vivek/ Asif Taj 9-4; Swathikanth/ Jayaram bt Rajendran/ Shyam Babu 9-4.

U-16: Singles: H. Suraj bt Swathikanth 9-6; Anand George bt Mohammed Hamraz 9-6.

Doubles: Pritish Kishore/ Anand George bt Arun Raj/ S. Aravind 9-4; Suraj/ Mohammed Hamraz bt Sharath Babu/ S.S. Nikhil 9-7.

U-14: Singles: Anand George bt Mohammed Hamraz 9-4; Mathew T. Lathra bt Arun Raj 9-7.

Doubles: H. Suraj/ Mohammed Hamraz bt Ananthu Subash/ Joe Joseph 9-3; S.S. Nikhil/ Mathew T. Lathra bt Arjuna Ajaykumar/ Varun Nair 8-3.
