Stay on Venugopal's removal extended

Director's counsel asked to file application seeking Valiathan panel's copy

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday extended the stay on implementation of the recommendation of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences' governing body for removal of Institute Director P. Venugopal.

Justice P. Anil Kumar also extended the restrain on the Union Government from acting on the recommendation till February 22 next year.

Justice Kumar extended the stay when Maninder Singh, counsel for Dr. Venugopal, submitted that he would file his rejoinder to the reply by the Centre.
