KOLLAM: The four-day 29th State convention of the Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM), youth wing of the Catholic Church, will be held at the Kottiyam Vimala Hridaya Prayer Centre here from October 21. At a press conference on Saturday, State president of the KCYM P.G. John Britto said the convention would begin with a Kerala Navothana rally in the city on October 21.
Public meeting
A public meeting at the Press Club Maidan later would be inaugurated by Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi. President of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement Ashritha Arogyam would address he gathering. State director of the KCYM Sebastian Putyhen said more than 50,000 KCYM activists were expected to attend the rally. The convention would be formally inaugurated on October 22.
