Those on poll duty can vote

Staff Reporter

ERODE: For the second phase of polls to be conducted on Sunday, over 14,400 government employees, 3,000-odd police personnel, home guards, forest guards and NSS volunteers will be enlisted for election duty.

The Collector, D. Karthikeyan, told newsmen at Anthiyur on Friday that those officials who had been deputed for election duty would not be able to exercise their franchise.

Polling staff who had failed to submit Form 15 and 16 for postal ballot can visit the local body office where they had been deputed and collect the form and submit it to the official there.

The postal ballot will be given after verification of the form and it can be dropped in the box kept there.
