Electoral rolls on display

Chennai: Electoral rolls for the local body elections in Chennai have been displayed for the perusal of the people, a release from the Chennai Corporation said on Thursday.

The rolls are displayed in the zonal office and divisional office concerned, two conspicuous places of the division, in the office of the Chennai Corporation Commissioner and in the office of the Revenue Officer in the Corporation. The list is based on the Electoral Rolls of the Assembly constituencies. The public response to the step was good in parts of Triplicane, local residents said. They were seen scanning the rolls and looking for their names at Zone VI Corporation office on Thursday.
