'Core committee' for PSU revamp

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A meeting between the Government and various banks held here on Wednesday decided to constitute a `core committee' to work out a programme for restructuring potentially viable State public sector undertakings.

This committee will have the principal secretary for Industries and Commerce T. Balakrishnan as its chairman and the secretary of Public Sector Restructuring and Internal Audit Board K. Padmakumar as its convener.
