Kapse's resignation accepted

NEW DELHI: President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has accepted the resignation of Ramachandra Ganesh Kapse as Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Pondicherry Lt. Governor Lt. General (retd.) M.M. Lakhera has been asked to continue to discharge the functions of the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands in addition to his own duties, a Rashtrapati Bhavan press release said here on Wednesday.
