11-wkt. match haul for Zaheer

London: Zaheer Khan's 11-wicket match haul helped Worcestershire thrash Essex by nine wickets in a County Championship Division Two match at Chelmsford on Saturday.

Worcestershire declared at 650 for seven before bundling out Essex for 283 in its first innings. Following on, Essex was all out for 486, setting Worcestershire a target of 120 for victory.

The win helped Worcestershire overtake Essex in the Division Two County Championship table.

In the first innings, Zaheer took nine wickets and added two more in the second innings.— PTI
