Rain, dust storm lash Delhi
NEW DELHI:
The first rain of the summer lashed Delhi late on Sunday night, bringing down the temperature sharply and providing relief to residents from searing heat throughout the day.
The rain and lightning followed a strong dust storm that uprooted trees and electric poles in several localities but there was no immediate report of casualties or damage to buildings or other structures.
The storm, which began at 11.30 p.m., brought down the temperature from 33 degrees half an hour earlier to 29 degrees, met office said. PTI
